    Just passing by. You can also recover a rechargeable battery by using a 12 volt power supply or 6 volt battery charger. With caution!!! Hold the negative wire onto the negative side of the battery and tap fast the positive wire to the positive side of the battery. This can be done with non-rechargeable and rechargeable batteries. The caution is the batteries may get hot and or explode.

    The amp rating is not "at least" it is "at most" if you pass more current through a device than it is rated for you could destroy it or even cause a fire.

    A good tip is to not use channel locks or pliers to get that nut off, damage is inevitable if you do that. Use a strap wrench, it’s so quick and easy, and won’t damage anything!

    Great video! However, DE stops working once moisture level is reached. Works wonderfully in raised garden beds but not feasible for the lawn. A much easier approach is a broad spectrum spray that’s safe and effective. Spray this mixture in the evening just before sunset and by noon the next day, no more issues. This treats Tick, Mosquito, Fly, gnats, mites etc WHILE FEEDING THE LAWN (avoid spraying roses). •4Cups epsom salts (magnesium is the eliminator and food) •1/4 (.25) cup mouthwash (I use eucalyptus/medicinal flavor yellow) •6 FLAT beers (72 Oz) About 4oz hot water, dissolve salt, add mouthwash and beer then spray. 4 gallons treated 3acres in an overgrown Michigan yard and woods easily. ✨❤️‍🔥✨

    • @KismetCat
      @KismetCat Місяць тому

      The science behind this method is the beer has sugar+yeast which creates CO2 (the same as our breath that these critters locate us with), The mouthwash is a surfactant, it carries and evenly distributes salt to CO2 ratio. The pests cannot survive the magnesium but the lawn LOVES IT! Lasts about 3 months unless we have heavy rain when i reapply ❤️‍🔥

  • @DaveMalinowski-v7l
    @DaveMalinowski-v7l Місяць тому

    I've wired my actuator per your diagram. When the timer turns on, the actuator will extend/retract depending on how the +/- is wired from the actuator to the relay. When the timer turns off, nothing happens. I have to physically switch this polarity to get it to reverse with the timer in the off position.... Any suggestions on what I am doing wrong!!

    Another quick tip, to remove the button that stops the water flow just use some soft jaw pliers, or if you don't have those some regular pliers and put some tape over the plastic to prevent it from being marred, you only need light force when squeezing the pliers, if your gentle you won't damage anything, and it's much easier, you're gonna want the pliers anyway because you'll need them to pull on the stem for that button once it's removed.

  • @Windiguana
    @Windiguana 2 місяці тому

    The better way to remove the aerator is to take a small scrap piece of wood and nail in two brads so they just protrude, you'll get the measurement for the spacing from those little circular recesses you can see near the outer edge of the bottom of the sprayer/aerator, then you just get your makeshift tool you made and put the protruding nails into those recesses and twist. No damage and you only have to make it once.

    My experience with both says that the Cold Steel is much better. Something that wasn't covered is that the thickness close to the edge is much thicker on the WATL axe and that is more likely to bounce off. Not all WATL axes are like that, but to get a better axe, you'll pay between $50-150 more. If you are just having fun in the backyard, go with the Cold Steel and don't throw too hard.

    Excellent instructions with many helpful tips. I have *extremely* hard water and the handle was getting close to being frozen up. I'll make it a point to take it apart and descale it regularly from now on. The only thing that you didn't mention, although by watching closely you can see it in the video: the tightness of the big nut determines how easy or stiff the handle action will be. I tightened it too much the first time, and could barely move the handle. Taking it all apart I figured out that the big nut was the determining factor. A little bit of trial and error by slipping the handle on to test it let me find the sweet spot.

    In my experience with batteries esp phone's it Best to fully discharge them before recharging them otherwise you LOOSE capacity quickly!!!! Plugged in my phone the other night, when the charger started it was at 18% too Hell with that NONSENSE, OUT with the charger removed battery from the phone manually discharged it, i use a 3.7v bulb with two wires soldered on to it, when i started recharging 0% 😀all my phones get this treatment, that is how you make batteries LAST A LONG LIFE!!!!!

    • @willworkforliberty
      @willworkforliberty 3 місяці тому

      I would not recommend this. The old Nickle Cadmium batteries used to suffer from a memory effect so it was bad to recharge them early. That said most batteries have a maximum safe discharge rate. When you short them out you likely exceed this rate, and that degrades the battery. Your phone has a lithium ion battery which does not suffer from a memory effect. It also has a maximum discharge rate. In large battery systems this discharge rate is controlled by both the BMS and a fuse. By shorting your phone battery you are likely exceeding that discharge rate and damaging your battery.

    If I could also offer up something that helped me with this exact Kohler unit. About a week ago, I had a very expensive plumber put one of these faucets in (didn't like the old unit anyway). Within a couple of days, I noticed the water pressure starting to weaken. I thought, uh oh, here we go again. After watching this video, I checked the button for function and mine was fine. Since I had the head off the faucet, I looked at both ends to see if I could find a flow restrictor and, BOOM, there is a very small white restrictor on the hose end of the head. I took a pair of needle nose pliers and it easily came out. I immediately discovered a bunch of calcium that, within a few days, had a already accumulated! I was amazed. I just pulled the restrictor out and put the o-ring back in and put the head back on the hose. WOW, immediate water pressure. I live in the Pacific Northwest and, like many other areas of the country, have a big hard water problem. I understand the reason for flow restriction but, when you live in an area with historically hard water, it leads to premature and unexpected expense for many! Hope this helps.
